Agreements and Choices Explained

On my last blog Dr. Paul Helfrick mentioned Regional Areas 1-4. For clarification purposes – if you didn’t click the link – Regional Area 1 is where we exist in this reality of physical manifestation. Much of our subjective awareness resides in Regional Area 2, and if I had to give a word to it I’d liken it to our current psychological term – the unconscious. There is nothing, however, that is not available to us. We need merely to expand our awareness to make the unconscious conscious.

So, what are agreements and what are choices as Elias explains them? To understand we must first come to grips with the fact that we are all but a single focus of attention of what Elias refers to as Essence. Essence, or soul if you are more comfortable with the more familiar term, is who we are. We are not of Essence. We are Essence and Essence has numberless forms; not only in this dimension, but in numberless dimensions and realities.

First, if Essence chooses to enter this dimensional reality it agrees to abide by the blueprint of this reality. Essence agrees to manifest in physical form in at least one each of the three Orientations cited in the Mars and Venus blogs. Most of us as Essence have hundreds of focuses in this dimension. Keep in mind the simultaneity of time when thinking of this.

Reincarnational memories are really bleedthroughs in time of our other focuses (selves). Another agreement that occurs between Essences involves our birth. An agreement is made between the entering focus (newborn) and the parents. The entering focus chooses its parents, but the parents must agree to be the conduit for the entering focus. Nothing happens outside of choice and this includes our entry into the world of physical manifestations.

When I say that nothing happens outside of choice I mean exactly that. Remember, choice is what we DO. In this sense, nothing happens TO us. There are no accidents or coincidences. We are only victims of our own beliefs. Everything that we create either individually or in conjunction with something or someone happens with the agreement of all participating parties.

Our problem in understanding the concept of Agreements lies in our current understanding of the word. We understand the word in relation to conscious thought and is therefore limited to what we think. Thought, however, does not choose or create. It interprets what we create, which tells us about what we are doing in the moment. In the manner in which Elias uses agreements, discussion is not implemented between individual focuses or Essences. No discussion takes place either consciously or what we commonly refer to as unconsciously.

The actions of agreements are instantaneous. There is no time element involved. All influences are within the action of energy (all consciousness is energy), so if you are responding to someone else and feel you are being “influenced” by that person, you are both in agreement. You have drawn that action to yourself as has the other individual. You create all of your reality. We do interact, and we do influence each other, but only by agreement. So, what does this mean? It means we need to quit the blame, shame, quilt and worry game.

These agreements are made within Essence to either allow or not allow a response in Regional Area 1 – the world that you and I know. Choices are created in the moment and therefore we may choose differently in the next moment. There are no absolutes except for the absolutes we impose upon ourselves through our beliefs. Therefore, agreements are not absolute either, and may be altered in each moment. Agreements can be expressed physically (objective imagery) in countless choices and expressions. This offers us a very wide range in how our agreements can be expressed in our world of solids, liquids and gasses.

Subjective awareness can be expressed in myriad ways through our objective awareness. It’s our choice how a subjective state will be expressed physically. One choice of expression is not better than another. They are merely choices that create experience. It is our beliefs that impose the judgments. The beliefs are neutral in and of themselves, and we believe in association with the Intent we bring with us in entering the world, the culture we choose that would most foster the development of that intent, our families, our orientations and our preferences. It’s all choice and it’s all within agreement. My next blog will tackle an important part of creating what we want – ACCEPTANCE.
